The entire Philippines experienced a huge uproar on major social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter when the unofficial ballot tally results came out.
The entire election campaign was filled with information against political dynasties, even personalities on Facebook like Juana Change has had a certain impact on the way people talk about politicians, even the Anti-epal page on Facebook was expected to provide a difference on the votes.
Millions of Filipinos were stunned when they realized that names like Grace Poe, Bam Aquino and Nancy Binay will have an effect on the election results despite being newcomers.
A lot of people expected a huge turn out for Senatorial Candidates like Teddy Casino and Risa Hontiveros, both are known for their wit and experience in politics as well as community work.
It came as a complete surprise that newcomers like Nancy Binay and Grace Poe would be able to come into the scene just because they have famous last names.

statuses are showing that their is a growing awareness of individuals when it comes to their right to vote and the qualification that they are looking for.
Filipinos have a long way to go before things are changed in the electorate system, but the proof that a growing number of people are becoming their own media reporter and are observant of what is happening to their country means that there is still a chance.
In the mean time creative meme creators have flooded the walls of Filipinos to provide much needed comic relief from the disturbing unofficial turn out of elections
We will never truly understand why the Philippine system works that way, but we can rely on the idea that we can still help this country out.
We can still do something even without the help of politicians and we can seek of new ways to think about how this country works
For the mean time we can only hope for the best while waiting for the election results...
and to enjoy the entertainment the election time is able to provide
